David Vaughan

David’s passion for business aviation is reflected in his four decades of rewarding experiences and meaningful assignments. His knowledge of the aviation industry is extensive and provides perspectives not only from the operational and financial viewpoint, but also from the sales and marketing arenas.

David has held key leadership positions in the airline support industry, maintenance repair and overhaul sector, and general aviation (FBO) services. Previous employers include Butler Aviation, Raytheon Aircraft Services, Signature Flight Support, XJet World and Jet Aviation, a General Dynamics company.

In addition to David’s business career, he also is involved in many civic and charitable organizations. He recently served on the board of directors for McKinney National Airport and is currently on the board for Challenge Air for Kids and Friends. He has been involved with Challenge Air for the past 17 years including a stint as their chairman. He currently serves on a committee to provide development and guidance to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s new FBO certificate program.

Prior, Dave was active in the Hobby-Pearland Chamber of Commerce and served a year-long term as chairman of the board. He was a founding board member and past president for the Houston Aviation Advisory Council and served as past president of the Kentucky Aviation Association. Dave has been active in other service-based organizations including Kiwanis, Rotary and Jaycees over the years.
David is a graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds a BS degree in aviation management. He is a licensed pilot, has three grown children, three grandchildren, has been married for 42 years and resides in Dallas, Texas.

Iver L. Retrum

Aviator and entrepreneur, Iver has spent more than 20 years in general and business aviation. He specializes in aviation real estate development and transaction and he brings a broad range of aviation-specific knowledge to his projects.

Iver has worked in leadership positions for Signature Flight Support, ARINC Direct, and SunBorne XVI. He is also the co-founder and manager of Hangar Network, LLC (HangarNetwork.com), an industry-leading aviation real estate MLS.

In his most recent assignments, Iver has provided airport real estate development and transaction consulting services to high net-worth individuals and businesses looking to develop business aviation office and hangar facilities. He also has been contracted by AeroColorado, LLC, a Colorado-based private GA facility, to provide owner’s representative, operations and business development services for their 55,000 SF private office/hangar facility located at Centennial Airport.

Iver’s aviation real estate development and transaction experience started with his six-year employment at SunBorne XVI, Ltd, and the development of Centennial InterPort at Centennial Airport. He was integrally involved in all aspects of the InterPort project, including the successful negotiation of ground leases totaling more than 7 acres, the acquisition and development of three large build-to-suit office/hangar facilities totaling 93,000 SF, and more than 217,000 SF of additional office and hangar leases and tenant improvement projects.

Iver is the supervising broker for the Colorado based BA Group Realty, the chair of NBAA’s Local and Regional Groups Committee, and was the founding chairman and eight year board member of the Colorado Aviation Business Association. A graduate of Metro State University of Denver with a BS degree in Aviation Technology, Iver is also a licensed pilot and flight instructor. He lives in Littleton CO, with his wife Jess and son Lars.
